Responsibilities Barista/Front of House:
Prepare speciality coffee and drinks to a consistently high standard
Provide friendly, attentive, and thoughtful customer service
Take orders, serve food and drinks and clear tables
Support with opening/closing duties, till operation, dialling in the coffee machine and cleaning
Keep the front of house area clean, tidy, and inviting
Restock and replenish display items and condiments as needed
Work collaboratively with the kitchen and wider team for food prep and service
Be the friendly & welcoming face of Comrie Croft: Represent our values around sustainability, inclusivity, and hospitality
Key Responsibilities Kitchen assistant:
Daily batch baking and dressing of cakes, cookies, buns and more
Daily prep of all food products including jams, pestos and coleslaw
Making toasties with seasonally available ingredients
Creatively contributing to menu development
Ability to follow food safety guidelines and take care with allergen sensitive products
maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen work environment
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
Barista/FoH experience & BoH/Kitchen Assistant experience 6 months minimum (further, specific training will be provided for successful applicants)
Warm, friendly and willing to learn
Big team player with a positive mindset
Punctual, reliable, and honest
Weekend availability
Desirable:
Interest in sustainable practices and seasonal locally grown produce
Familiarity with food service and safety standards
An understanding of Comrie Croft and the service(s) it provides

While prior experience is preferred for some roles, it's definitely not a deal-breaker for the right person. We provide full training for all roles - all we need is a can-do attitude, initiative and a willingness to learn the ropes.
