Day 1:
10:00 - meet at Comrie Croft.
Enjoy a brew whilst you meet the rest of the group and your guide will give an explanation of ‘what to expect over the next few days’.
Kit and equipment will then be handed out. Bikepacking bags will be packed and fitted onto the bikes.
Lunch will be eaten at Comrie Croft.
Once all bikes are fully loaded, you will do a short ‘test ride’ to check everything is fitted well. Any adjustments will be made before leaving the Croft.
Then you are off on your own bikepacking micro adventure. Being led from Comrie Croft into the hills. Plenty of time will be given for stops, chat, photos and enjoying the view.
The day will end at a secluded camp spot where you will set up camp.
You will enjoy an evening cooking your meal and chatting with the group.
Day 2:
After waking naturally (no need for an alarm) you will enjoy breakfast before packing up camp and loading everything back onto your bike.
Your guide will then lead you on their favourite paths and trails before returning to Comrie Croft by mid afternoon.
Once back at the Croft you will unpack, before saying goodbye.
-
You should be comfortable riding your bike for 2 hrs at a steady pace for two days in a row on hilly terrain. This trip requires you to have some off-road riding experience.
-
Expect land rover tracks, wide grassy paths and some easy single track. The area surrounding Comrie Croft is hilly, however, it is perfectly OK to take your bike for a walk up these.
-
This is Scotland. You are highly likely to get wet, to experience wind and there may be snow. Equally it could be absolutely glorious. This is all part of the adventure, you just need to be prepared and keep our sense of humour. No matter what the weather throws at you, there is a warm cosy hostel waiting at the end of the day for you.
*In the event of extreme weather where there is a danger to life the trip can be rearranged.*
