Our kata tents are the ultimate wild camping experience without the hardship. Go to sleep to the sound of the deer and owls outside, or (if you are lucky) the silence of snow falling. The katas are built on untreated larchwood platforms in open birch woodland. You can keep cosy in them in any weather using the wood-burning stove in the centre of the tent. We've had people staying in them happily when its below -10C outside. They are furnished simply with sheepskins, cushions, oil lamps and all the camping essentials you need, including our own homemade furniture.

• 6m diameter tipi style tents, well designed for the Scottish climate.
• Recommended for 4 people, but can sleep up to 6 if most are children and/or you don't mind cosying up (the homemade 'alpine style' bed is one huge comfy area insulated with covered sheepswool).
• Included inside: wood-burning stove for cooking & heating, 1 sack of firewood (more is available @ £5/sack), sheepskins cushions and throws, all basic necessities for cooking, eating & cleaning up, big alpine style bed, oil lanterns, head torches.
• Included outside: campfire brazier made from a recycled wheel, hammock for 1 or 2.
• Bring your own: sleeping bags, pillows, towels.
• 1-2 minutes walk to piping hot showers, toilets and other facilities including tea/coffee making & a microwave
